Performance testing

k6 is an open-source load testing tool. The main advantages of k6 compared to other load testing tools are:

  • Ease of use: Test scripts are written in JavaScript and setup is done within minutes
  • Integration with OpenTelemetry: Based on environment variables, test results can be sent towards an OpenTelemetry collector
  • CI/CD integration: Very easy to include in a Gitlab pipeline
