Our main recommendation for packaging your software is to use Helm charts.
Helm chart clarification
Section titled “Helm chart clarification”A Helm chart can become quite complex. That is why it is important to include documentation about the Helm chart itself. You can for example add this information to the README of the folder or repository in which you develop the Helm chart. Think of for example:
- Values set
- Environment variables
- Helpers templates
Helm chart notes textfile
Section titled “Helm chart notes textfile”While developing your Helm chart, please make sure that you add a NOTES.txt file with the installation information. This way anyone who would deploy the Helm chart will know what he or she actually deployed.
